There is something in the world - Interview with "Security Sealing Artist" Liu Yong

How can an ordinary security guard get the best of Guinness? How many little-known stories have happened in the middle? With these questions, the author walked through the quaint old Beijing Hutong, walked to the Shichahai, and walked into the engraved world of Liu Yongjun, the “security engraved artist”.
Liu Yongjun, an anonymous security guard at Xicheng Branch of Beijing Security Service Corporation. He regained his day and day after year, patrolling in the ordinary security posts, and using his hard work to maintain the security of his clients. He is very ordinary and very talented. For more than ten years, he has devoted himself to the art of carving and engraving with his perseverance. His engraved works have participated in various art exhibitions held in China and won many awards. Some of his works have also been received by the news media. Published in ... Among them, he spent a full three years, completed the "Chinese traditional culture classic series" engraved works, with a length of 51 meters, 1735 square, 11449 words, was assessed by the Shanghai World Guinness Headquarters as the Great World The number of the best engravings in Nice has become the number one security guard in the history of the security industry in the history of the world.

Carefully step into the art hall
In June 1996, Liu Yongjun, who came from the black soil in the northeast, came to the security team of the capital and walked into the gate of Xicheng Security Branch. As a result of his hard work, he was promoted to the position of an anonymous security squad leader after just eight months of work. He has been a grassroots security guard for nearly 20 years in the capital. He has served 10 client units.
In 1996, Liu Yongjun came to Beijing alone and walked into the capital security team. A few years later, he was transferred to the squad leader of the Shichahai antiques market security class. When he was not on duty, he went to the antique shop in the market. On the simple and elegant shelves, there are all kinds of seals and seals, and the craftsmanship is exquisite. The patterns and ornaments on the top are vivid, and the scorpion attracts Liu Yongjun's eyes and evokes his childhood dreams. In this square inch, in the stamp of the weather, he seems to find a stage to realize his dream. In the following time, Liu Yongjun was "bubble" in the antique shop, and he looked at the east and west. The eyeballs were always wandering around the seal, for fear of falling. For a long time, the shop owners and old artists who are doing business in the antique market have paid attention to this young man wearing security uniforms. They found that this security boy not only looked at the seal seriously, but also loved to ask this question, and he liked this young man. They not only introduced Liu Yongjun to the professional books on engraving art, but also gave him a knives and two seals for him to practice. Since then, in the germination of youth, Liu Yongjun began to embark on the art road of engraving.
Since you like to engrave art, you have to pay for it. This is easier said than done. Take the practice of basic skills, but it is a chore, and face the stone of the size of the whole day, only the small knife, makes people feel dull and boring. And Liu Yongjun took pains and joy, and under the enlightenment education of professional teachers, he entered the mysterious art world of engraving. In order to practice basic skills, he has a few things to do every day: the third thing is to read the professional books of the hour. He has read "Wei Bei", "Zhong Dingwen", "Shi Gu Wen", "Chinese Seal Art and Skills". "An ancient calligraphy rubbings, to understand the development of the art of engraving, to engrave the artistic connotation of the works of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and modern engravings, and to constantly enrich their artistic accomplishments. The second thing is to practice two to three hours of knife on the old seal stone, because the practice is too invested, the time is long, the two hands have no idea the pain, the fingers are sour and hemp, so that they are not Point to strength. When eating, both hands can't catch chopsticks and can only be eaten with a spoon. Many times, because the sickle was unstable, the sharp knife was placed on the finger. He endured the pain, simply cleaned the wound under the armpit and wrapped it on the tape to continue practicing. The third thing is to lift 200 dumbbells and exercise the arm to ensure the consistency and stability of the knife. It is these three things, Liu Yongjun does not move every day, never fall, training is three months. If he doesn't understand the place, he will be open-minded and ask the teacher. Under the guidance of the teacher, through his unremitting efforts, he will soon step into the door of engraving art. In 1999, Liu Yongjun's debut "He Zuguo's prosperity" was published in the fifth issue of "China Security" magazine, which further inspired his confidence in devotion to engraving art.
On the basis of mastering the ancients and absorbing the strengths of hundreds of people, Liu Yongjun had some understanding of the art of engraving, especially in the layout and the chapters, he was able to express his unique ingenuity. The series of works of "Baifutu", "Bailutu", "Bai Shoutu" and "Baixitu" are 400 pieces (each 100 pieces) with different shapes, bringing together Daxu, Xiaoxu, Yi, Li, Xing, Yiwen, Jin Wen, oracle bones and other calligraphy fonts composed of "Fu, Lu, Shou, Xi", and in accordance with the law of order, ordered grouping printed on the fan surface, highlighting the quaint and generous concept of the work and the author's clever ideas. The series of works of "Fu Lu Shou Xi" won the gold medal in art activities in the "Return Cup" large-scale art event celebrating the third anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the anniversary of the return of Macao in 2000. It was successively selected by the "Chinese Calligraphy Art Works". It is included in the publications such as "The Cross-Century Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Elite Grand Ceremony" and is collected by international friendly people such as Japan, Canada, and the United States. Since then, his creative enthusiasm has been out of control, and he has also achieved great results. From the end of 2000 to the present, he has created more than 40 works such as "Chinese Century Dragon", "Fu Lu Shou Xi" hundred characters series, "eight honors and eight shame", more than 2,400 square meters of Qingtian stone, engraved about 20,000 Yu Zi, published by many professional media, has won many professional competition awards. In April 2007, Liu Yongjun's engraved works participated in the national soul----------------------------------------- title.

Infatuation does not change the artistic dream
Out of the love of engraving art, Liu Yongjun did not stand in the face of achievements, but continued to make progress, dreaming of breakthroughs in engraving art. At the beginning of 2002, after repeated considerations, he had the idea of hitting the Guinness Book of the Big World. The payoffs must be rewarded. In January 2005, under his three years of unremitting efforts, the engraved group of 1735 Fang Qingtianshi and 11,449 Xiaoyan, the "Chinese Traditional Culture Classic Series" was finally completed. In this work, he has engraved all the contents of the three verses of The Diamond Sutra, The Heart Sutra, and The Tao Te Ching, and printed them on a 50-meter-long and 0.36-meter-wide album.
After the completion of the work, Liu Yongjun got in touch with the Guinness Headquarters of Shanghai World in the first time. The staff was very interested in his application project, and asked him to prepare relevant materials as soon as possible according to the reporting requirements. Subsequently, in accordance with the requirements of the staff, Liu Yongjun first prepared a written introduction to the work, and asked the company's propaganda comrade to shoot the video and pictures of the work and sent it to the Guinness World Headquarters in Shanghai. However, as an indispensable material for the impact of the Guinness World, the short professional group witness materials made him difficult. As a well-known security guard, he is only a fan of the art of engraving, and no professional group is willing to give Liu Yongjun a testimony. Not only is he anxious, but his superiors and relatives are also anxious for him. In those days, he took his own work, "Chinese Traditional Culture Classic Series", and ran through dozens of cultural groups and art associations in the capital. He was always happy to go and disappoint. In the face of these difficulties and setbacks, he just swallowed the cold and grievances into the stomach and went on as usual.
As the saying goes, opportunities always pay attention to those who are prepared. In June 2006, Liu Yongjun took the work to participate in the art system certification activities organized by the China Calligraphers Association ISQ9000A Art System Qualification Certification Center. During the process of reviewing the works submitted by the experts, the artists were moved by the security guard's deep engraving of the artistic complex. He decided to give Liu Yongjun the ISQ9000A certificate signed by the famous Chinese painter Xu Beihong, Ms. Liao Jingwen, and awarded him “ China's engraving of the title, to encourage. It was at this time that the certificate he obtained also set aside the cloud for his impact on the Guinness World Road. Shortly thereafter, under the leadership of the Painting and Calligraphy Association, Liu Yongjun issued a testimonial material for professional culture groups, which succeeded in the road to the Guinness World.

Endless art hand in hand Olympics
In October 2006, just two months after receiving Guinness, Liu Yongjun, who had already made a small achievement on the art road, had another idea - to complete the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games logo "China India" and "Fuwa" "The icon of the competition project" is engraved with the printed works. With its own unique methods and practical actions, it promotes the Olympic spirit, spreads the Olympic knowledge, and feels the infinite passion of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games to the people of the world.
If you have an idea, you will be put into action, because after all, it is a new work, and it is a very meaningful piece of work that will be born under its own knife. Therefore, he is very careful in all aspects of the engraving process. In order to ensure the integrity of the Olympic logo and the rigor of the art, Liu Yongjun downloaded the logo of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games from the Internet, and made a small sample in Linyin, and then painted it on the Qingtian stone surface with a brush and ink, after careful modification, material selection and layout. Then entered the sickle stage. Liu Yongjun said that it is the best time to engrave five lively and lovely Olympic Fuwa. Whether in Linyin or in ink painting, he often observes and tries to figure out the soul of "Fuwa" in the darkness of the night, bringing him unlimited creative inspiration. In the morning, afternoon, and late at night, under the illumination of the desk lamp, Liu Yongjun stunned me. The left hand was dead and pressed according to Qingtian stone. The right hand clasped a small carving knife, cutting knife, punching knife, picking knife, sickle, and crisp rock breaking sound. More than that. Under the sharp edge of the knife, the lines are curved or straight, or clear or fuzzy, on the surface of the Qingtian stone. In this way, after more than two months of hard work, when the icon of the "diving" of the last Olympic competition project appeared in front of her eyes, Liu Yongjun took a sigh of relief and looked at "China India" and five lively "Olympics". Fuwa, and there are 35 icons for the Beijing Olympic Games competition. He picked up this and picked up the one, 瞅瞅 "Babei", 瞧瞧 "Happy Huan", just like treating a baby just born, long time reluctant to let go . In the following period, he carefully examined and modified his engraved works against the prototype of the Beijing Olympic Games, and he did not want to leave a slap in his beloved works. Then, he printed a 16×10 cm “China Seal”, five 11×8 cm Olympic Fuwa and 35 5×5 cm Olympic sports logos on a 115 cm long and 52 cm wide sprinkle. On Jin Xuan Paper, the entire group of printed works is profound and concise.
At the end of 2006, Liu Yongjun’s work “The Icon of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games” was finally completed on schedule, and soon caused quite a stir outside the industry. Now he is a member of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Committee of the Ministry of Culture. Liu Yongjun, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Artists Association, said that he hopes to have the opportunity to send his engraved work "Beijing 2008 Olympic Games icon" to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Organizing Committee to express his The best wishes of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, to find the best destination for his work.

Harmony life injects unlimited power
On May 28, 2006, Liu Yongjun got married and became a family. Speaking of his happy marriage, Liu Yongjun said that thanks to his engraving art, he helped. When I remember talking to my lover, my mother-in-law always disagreed with their marriage. It is too far from the home of both men and women. One family is in the northeast and one is in the Central Plains. Second, Liu Yongjun is an ordinary security guard. He does not have much interest. The third is that his family is poor and there is not much money. However, the mother-in-law said, this is not a room for negotiation. If you want to find her daughter as a wife, first put tens of thousands of dollars in front of her. At the crucial moment, he loved his girlfriend and helped her. In the lunar month of 2006, the news that the 3.6 million Beijing builders stood out from the capital and came to Beijing to build a civilized star Liu Yongjun with his mother to visit the capital was published in the Beijing Evening News. . This day, when my girlfriend returned to her family for the New Year, she specially brought the news media such as "Beijing Evening News", "China Security Magazine", "Capital Security News", "Beijing Xicheng Daily" and other newspapers and periodicals with Liu Yongjun's engraved works and deeds. Let your mother see it. Three days later, on the second day of the first month of the first month, the mother of the girlfriend personally called Liu Yongjun and invited him to sit at home. He also personally cooked and personally made a table for Liu Yongjun. Next, their marriage was over the rain, and finally they made a good marriage.
Now, Liu Yongjun is already a father. Whenever a newspaper or magazine publishes Liu Yongjun's works or deeds, the mother-in-law must have to leave a few copies. When relatives and friends visit, they must always take it out and make them look proud.
